In Texas, at what point during a pregnancy does the doctor perform the mandatory drug test

In Texas, at what point during a pregnancy does the doctor perform the mandatory drug test?
I quit smoking weed when I found out I was pregnant, but I know drug tests are mandatory here and a failure is required to be reported to CPS, who show up at the hospital when the baby is born and revoke custody pending 3 months rehab. I haven't touched weed since the day I found out, but my doctor takes a urine sample every time, and I'm worried about the first and possibly second visits to him where I submitted urine. I think they do the drug test later in the pregnancy and the last tests were just UA's but I would like to be sure.

I am not sure how Texas works...never heard of it and lived in Texas myself. In all honesty you should never be consuming drugs whether you are pregnant or not.
Answer 2 :
more then likely the whole pregnancy!!! And as long as when you do it you are clean and you really are staying clean you should be fine but F.Y.I it stays in the inbebotic fluid so when the baby is born it will test positive. They can also by when they test how long it has been So make sure to stay clean maybe even better is confess to your doc now do rehab so that by the time the baby is born all will be OK for sure!!! But that is just my advise and opinion!!!
Answer 3 :
I am not from Texas but when i first got pregnant they tested me the first or second visit but I had to get consent from me by signing a paper asking permission to test for many different drugs listed on the paper. Our state is the same is yours if you fail the test CPS would be involved. I am sure if you failed the test they would have contacted you about the test and informed you you failed. They take your urine every visit testing your protein and sugar. GL to ya and Congratz on the baby!!
Answer 4 :
I live in North Carolina, and don't know the Texas laws, but as a mother;I would suggest being upfront with your doctor from the beginning. Just tell him/her that you were smoking weed and that you stopped soon as you found out you were pregnant. A little honesty goes a long ways! If I am not mistaken, they can test you and seems like there is a way for them to tell when the last time you were smoking weed or had taken any other drug. They will probably ask you at first ( I think this is done to see if you are going to be upfront and honest with them at first) But they will administer the test, and hopefully by you being upfront, they will not call cps, but rather choose to give random drug test thorugh your pregancy. If you mange to stay clean, good for you, and that may mean that cps will never be called. It all depends on the doctor. Good luck!
Answer 5 :
why do you want to harm the baby? you shouldnt do anything that could be harmful. it is very hard to have a healthy baby w/o taking any risks. think of someone else for once, not yourself. are you gonna get loaded after the bay is born & not be able to take care of it? cps will still come & take the baby at any time. grow up
Answer 6 :
As far as I've known, UA's are taken randomly by CPS. Drugs and alcohol should not be consumed while you are pregnant. Take consideration, not only for your child, but for yourself as well.

If you are in a drug rehab center and you slip and fall on waxed stairs w/no warning signs posted can you sue

If you are in a drug rehab center and you slip and fall on waxed stairs w/no warning signs posted can you sue?
This is Texas and I was given a form to sign when arrived relieving them of responsiblities if injured. But I was on drugs when I signed it. Now clean. The stairs were waxed in the a.m. and there were no caution signs anywhere. I slipped and went down hard and reinjured a previous shoulder injury on the 2 X 4 being used for the hand rail. I didn't report it until the next day, hoping that it wasn't as serious as it turned out. I requested for 4 days to seek medical attention when they finally took me to a local urgent care facility. After seeing a physician and getting an ant-inflamatory prescription I was expected to pay for the treatment and prescription. I had no money, which they were very aware of , and no insurance. What rights do I have in this situation and is there someplace I can go to find my rights while in a rehab center.

Answer 1 :
Talk to a lawyer.
Answer 2 :
Definitely seek legal counsel if you can. I realize you signed the waiver, but surely they should have closed the stairs or posted warning signs for the safety of their residents and out of courtesy. What if it had been a staff member and not a patient who had fallen? I bet there'd be hell to pay.
Answer 3 :
Why do peope feel they have to sue because their too fat and lazy to hold a decent job and make some money?

First of all, what an amazing loving daughter to care so much for your mom and to have your first reaction be one of support instead of judgement, your Mom must be an incredible person to have raised such a child. Secondly, the fact that your Mom wants to get clean is the MOST IMPORTANT thing that needs to happen in order for her to overcome her addiction! With the conscious decision that she wants to get clean, she is now ready to find a quality program that will help her realize the underlying cause of her addiction and the triggers that lead to her use and then provide her with the tools to overcome those factors and triggers so that she does not feel the need to use ever again. Sounds like your Mom is well on her way to getting the happiness she deserves back. I have had loved ones in a similar situation who are now living happily clean and sober today! I feel as though their lives were saved by the wonderful staff and program at Journey Healing Centers and will therefore recommend them as long as I live, so that others can have the same experience. They have a free confidential helpline you can call and they will help you understand the steps you can take to further support your mother no matter where she goes for treatment, they are the best. Here is their website http://www.journeyrecoverycenters.com/ My Best Wishes Jamie, to you and your Mom!

Answer 1 :
STOP BREAKING THE LAW RETARD! I'm pretty sure you don't want to find out what will happen no matter what it is so just stop doing drugs and you won't have to worry about it.
Answer 2 :
you'll go back in the clink.
Answer 3 :
You will have your probation revoked and serve the entire 2 yr. sentence in jail.
Answer 4 :
It depends on the Court. If you go in with an attitude of "Having to go to this rehab crap" then yes, you might serve out the maximum for the ROBBERY in State Prison. Remember that when you're on deferred adjudication, you were never adjudicated for the Robbery, so the judge can still find you guilty on that and sentence you to the maximum. If you take advantage of the treatment then you have a good chance of doing the two years and being done with it. If you test positve again, your level of treatment might just be increased, you might have to report more frequently, and you might be on weekly random drug testing. It also depends on what type of drug you tested positive for, and if you used again since your first office visit. Certain judges will adjudicate and sentence (revoke) others might put you in a residential program or SAFP
